Mobile operator Hutchison Essar and Microsoft have agreed to a large-scale mobile service alliance in India, under which Hutchison subscribers are able to search for and access mobile content and information via Microsoft's Windows Live services. Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail, and Windows Live Spaces are among the services made available to Hutchison subscribers. In addition to Hutchison's Planet Hutch portal and Fun Cards platform, currently powered and managed by Microsoft, the two firms' further cooperation will also enable advertisers and content providers to reach their mobile customers.
